Born on 16.7.1908. Educated at Jubilee Institution, Umreth; Elephinstone College, Bombay, King’s College, University of London; Institute of Historical Research University of London; Inner Temple, London. Enrolled as Advocate on 18th August 1933. Practised on Original and Appellate Sides. Appointed Judge, Bombay City Civil Court and Additional Sessions Judge, Greater Bombay on 1st September 1948; Principal Judge, City Civil & Sessions Judge, Greater Bombay on 14th October 154. Appointed Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on 6th January 1957 and Permanent Judge of that High Court on 24.11.1957. Became Judge of the High Court of Gujarat on its formation on 1st May 1960. Acting Chief Justice from 23.5.1963. Permanent Chief Justice from 31.5.1963. Appointed Judge of the Supreme Court from 24th February 1966. Resigned on 30th April, 1973. |
