Born on 15.10.1952 at Mahesana in a Lawyer’s family and son of Mr. D.C.Shah, Ex. Government Pleader in Mahesana District Court.

           Graduated in Arts from Sardar Patel Arts and Commerce College, Mahesana and passed LL.B. Examination from Vivekanand Law College, Mahesana.

           Started practice in the year 1980 in District Court, Mahesana. Conducted criminal and civil cases.

           Was a retainer of the Insurance Company for many years.

           Upon selection in Gujarat Judiciary in May, 1993, assumed office as Judge, Nadiad City of Kheda District and thereafter as an independent District Judge at Nadiad, Himatnagar, Surat and Ahmedabad. During the said tenure, dealt with and decided various highly contested civil and criminal matters.

           Attained recognition from the Gujarat State Legal Authority for having rendered commendable services in the field of Lok Adalat and Literacy Camp. Rendered valuable services as an ombudsman in connection with the earthquake.

           Elevated to the Bench of Gujarat High Court as Additional Judge on 17.1.2005 and confirmed as Permanent Judge on 9th August, 2007
