Born on 18th August, 1950 at Baroda and had primary education at Mithapur in Saurashtra and Bombay.

           Obtained B.Sc. Degree with Chemistry as principal subject from Gujarat College in Ahmedabad and joined Sir L.A. Shah Law College and obtained LL.B. (Special) Degree in 1974, also obtained LL.M. Degree from Gujarat University. Started practice at City Civil Court, Ahmedabad. Appointed as City Civil Court, Ahmedabad. Appointed as City Civil Judge, Ahmedabad in July, 1994. Appointed as Additional Principal Judge, City Civil Court, Ahmedabad, in October, 2004.

           Elevated as Judge of the High Court of Gujarat, Ahmedabad on 14.6.2005.
