Born on 5th January 1935. Enrolled Advocate by Maharashtra Bar Council on 10th August 1996. Practised in 1963 in Bombay and from 1964 in Goa in various branches of law. Had been Prosecutor for Government of Goa from 1967 to 1969. From 1980 had been Advocate for Customs and Central Excise Departments of Government of India. Had been Member of Senate and of Faculty of Law of Bombay University. Appointed as Judge of Bombay High Court on 29th November 1983. Appointed as Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court with effect from 2.7.1996. Retired on 5.1.1997.
