Born on 28th October 1907. Educated at Madras University and School of Oriental Studies, London. Joined Indian Civil Service on 6th October 1932 and served in Bombay as Assistant Collector and Assistant Judge. Also worked as Deputy Secretary to Bombay Government in the Departments of Finance, Food and Law. Became District & Sessions Judge on 16th April 1945, Confirmed as District & Sessions Judge on 1st March 1949. Appointed as Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court for one year w.e.f. 12th June 1959. Became Judge of the Gujarat High Court on its formation with effect from 1st May 1960. Appointed as Additional Judge of the Gujarat High Court for a further period of two years with effect from 12th June 1960. Permanent Judge of the High Court of Gujarat from 6th April 1961
