Obtained his LL.B. Degree from Government Law College, at Bombay in the first Class in 1924. After qualifying to be an Advocate on the Original side, he started practice both on the original ad Appellate sides of the Bombay High Court, in April 1927. In 1944-45, he was elected a Member of the Bombay Bar Council. He was a Member of the Bombay Special Tribunal, which was the successor of the 2nd Special Tribunal, Lahore, after the partition from May 1948 to 17th May 1950. On 15th May 1950, he was appointed as a Judge of the City Civil Court and Additional Sessions Judge, Greater Bombay. In 1957, he was appointed the Principal Judge of the City Civil Court and Sessions Judge, Greater Bombay. He was appointed as a Judge of Gujarat High Court on July 21, 1960.
